Become a volunteer

Coastline’s volunteer scheme enables customers and community members to donate their time across different areas of the organisation, whilst gaining new skills and meeting new people. It’s a great way to share ideas and help local communities thrive.

Volunteering

Training

Coastline offers free training opportunities to all our customers, that can help you to develop and build skills for home or work life. Options range from volunteer roles to one-off short courses, plus online courses which can fit round your schedule.

We work with the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly People Hub to support you on your employment journey. Their Connectors work with you on a 1:1 basis to offer CV writing, interview skills, searches for jobs and much more.

Support

We know that there is more to getting a job than having the skills and enthusiasm to work. We can talk to you about other areas of your life that you may feel are preventing you from seeking employment, and can either provide information or link you with one of our brilliant partner agencies.

Topics we can support include:

money management and debt advice
financial support for any costs to start work through our Sustainability Fund
accessing foodbank vouchers
support with benefit claims and budgeting
health and wellbeing
childcare and caring responsibilities.
