We have a team of Mental Health First Aiders across the company who are happy to talk to any colleagues who are struggling and signpost them to sources of support. A number of our staff are also trained in the orange button mental health suicide prevention scheme.
Across the company we have a number of Wellbeing Champions who meet quarterly to discuss ways to help improve all aspects of wellbeing for our workforce – including mental health, physical health, social wellbeing and financial wellbeing.
There is something for everyone to get involved in (should they wish to!). From something as simple as a walking meeting to something as big as our annual marathon challenge. We regularly hold one-off events across the year as well including fundraising BBQs, dress up days, quizzes and even self defence classes, for those colleagues who would like to take part. We have a small workplace choir that meets to rehearse every Wednesday lunchtime, recognising how good singing is for both our mental and physical wellbeing.
Each year, colleagues at Coastline vote for a charity of the year to fundraise for alongside our day-to-day work. We always welcome new members to our charity fundraising group if this sparks your interest.
We believe in recognising and rewarding excellent performance at work. Our Coastline Stars award scheme allows colleagues to nominate each other for doing something above and beyond their job role. We encourage positive feedback and the importance of recognition. You could even bag yourself a voucher as a reward.
We give Long Service Awards to thank colleagues for their dedication to Coastline, with gifts awarded for long service at 10, 20, 30 and 40 years. A little celebration is held for those eligible each year and of course, we make sure there is food.
Our lifestyle hub has a full range of wellbeing help and advice, including meditation videos, exercise tips and delicious recipes.
At all our main sites we offer free car parking, tea and coffee.
