Your tenancy agreement shows your rights and responsibilities

You signed an agreement when you became a Coastline customer. It contains important information so please keep it safe.

The agreement sets out what we must do as your landlord to keep your home in good repair and the rights that you have as a tenant of the property.

Your responsibilities

When you become a customer we ask that you:

Pay your rent on time
Live peacefully with your neighbours
Report any repairs to us straight away
Keep the inside and outside of your home in good condition, including your garden if you have one.

Your rights

Although the property is owned by us, it’s your home and you have the right to live in it without interruption from us, as long as you keep to the terms of your tenancy agreement.

Coastline does not keep spare keys to your home and we won’t enter it without permission, unless there's an emergency such as a gas leak or major water leak.

If we need access to your home, for example to service your gas boiler or carry out electrical safety checks, we will always contact you first. You are required to let us in if we have given you notice.

Making changes

If you wish to make any changes to your home or garden, you must ask Coastline for permission to do so. You might also need to check with us before getting a pet. Visit our making changes to your home page for more information.

Repairs

Coastline responsible for the structure of your property, communal areas and any fixtures and fittings we supplied. You’re responsible for interior decoration, looking after your garden and any goods you bring into your home. For full details please see the repairs section.

Please keep to your agreement

Please make sure you keep to the responsibilities set out in your tenancy agreement. If you don't you will be breaking your agreement and that could mean we need to start legal proceedings against you.
