Following our adoption of the Sustainability Reporting Standard (SRS), we've published our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report for 2024/25.
This is in line with the criteria outlined by Sustainability for Housing, which is a nationally recognised standard.

Environmental
- An average SAP rating of 74 across our existing housing stock profile (those built before March 2024)
- An average SAP rating of 82 across our new build stock (those completed between March 2024 - April 2025)
- 438 homes underwent a form of retrofit works
- A total of 6598.79 tonnes CO2 equivalent of green house gas emissions attributable to Coastline over the period, a 4.94% decrease on 2023/24
- 92.14% of homes were at a low risk of flooding
- 58% of materials were responsibly sourced
- 98.77% of materials were recycled and/or diverted from landfill
Social
- 152 new homes were built
- Building safety measures were all at 100% compliance (excluding electrical safety, of which 99.92% of homes were compliant)
- 1033 cases of damp and mould were reported, accounting for 15.95% of our rented housing stock
- The Tenant Satisfaction Measures showed that 83% of customers were satisfied overall with the services we provide, an increase on 81% in the previous year
- We engaged in a range of community engagement and placeshaping activities, including Neighbourhood Action Days and Customer Voice meetings
- 1641 people were helped by our homeless service
- Our volunteer scheme generated £337,533 worth of social value
Governance
- Turnover of the Board increased from 10% in 2023/24 to 40% in 2024/25 due to the retirement and end of tenures
- 50% of the Board are women (this has since increased to 60% with the appointment of Becky Lloyd-King in April)
- The median gender pay gap was 8.1%, significantly higher than the previous year which reported at 2.2%
- EDI (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion), mental health and professional development of colleagues remained key priorities
- 3.61% of employees obtained a professional qualification in 2024/25, including those from the Chartered Institute of Housing
- We considered the environmental and social value creation in procurement processes.
