We recognise and appreciate the positive contribution volunteers make to the organisation and that volunteering gives opportunities for individuals to achieve their own personal development goals.
Established in 2013, Coastline’s Volunteer Scheme has gone from strength to strength and in 2024 it was successful for a fourth time in obtaining the nationally recognised Investing in Volunteers accreditation.

At Coastline we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities within our extra care services, homeless services, administrative roles and more. Check our current vacancies or contact the volunteer team and we can help create a role that suits your goals and skills.

We provide roles for volunteers across a number of Coastline’s teams including our Homeless Service, Miners Court Extra Care and Housing Services. These roles are open to all, including customers and non-customers.
This enables customers of Coastline's Homeless Service to volunteer within the service with additional support. It provides essential employability skills and a positive focus during their stay.
This group of customers living in Miners Court Extra Care befriend new customers, assist with events and help staff with keeping the scheme a welcoming place to live.
This group of customers are supported to donate their time by getting involved in the scrutiny of the organisation, shaping service design and delivery as part of the wider involvement and engagement model. The Customer Voice group is at the heart of what we do at Coastline. With a wide range of skills, they ensure that Coastline is upholding our commitments to customers, through reviewing our services and making recommendations to the Customer Experience Committee that reflect our customers’ priorities.
