Access to your home

We have a legal obligation to ensure that our homes are safe environments, not just for customers but also for their immediate neighbours.

By signing your tenancy agreement you've agreed to allow us into your home for essential repairs and for inspections, including your annual gas safety check.

Making appointments

We will give you notice and arrange mutually convenient times and dates for appointments to visit your home and carry out repairs or inspections.

If you register with our My Coastline service, you will even be able to book your own appointments at a time that suits you. We even offer ‘school run’ slots so that you can rest assured our appointments won’t interfere with dropping children to school on time.

If you realise that you are not going to be able to keep an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to rearrange. This saves a great deal of time and money.

We want to make the process as easy as possible for you, and we will do all we can to meet requirements around appointment times.

Denying access

If you repeatedly refuse to let us into your property, we'll apply for a Court Order to gain access.

The costs involved in gaining access via a court and changing locks might be recharged to you.

Please don't let it come to this.

If you have any concerns contact us as soon as possible and we can talk through any questions you may have.
