The New Connection has been working to reduce homelessness in Cornwall for almost twenty years. From a tiny drop-in centre set up by volunteers from the churches in Camborne, it now has more than 30 full and part-time staff, and offers crisis accommodation to more than 500 people every year.
We provide a safe environment where homeless people are welcome. If all you want is to come in from the rain for a hot drink, that's fine. You don't even have to talk to anyone, but if you want to chat, there'll always be a sensible friend to listen.
Aims
- To improve social inclusion through our work with the homeless, rough sleepers, offenders, those with drug and/or alcohol problems, mental health issues or learning disabilities.
