The Independent Living Service Advisors look after 31 schemes tailor made to provide Independent Living for those aged over 60, or who have a disability. .
What is The Independent Living Service?
The Independent Living Service (ILS) is a support service delivered predominantly to Coastline Housing Customers. Coastline Housing provide self contained accommodation for people aged over 60, or who have a disability. It is designed for people who need the reassurance of knowing that emergency assistance is available 24 hours a day. It is ideal if you want to live independently while knowing that help is on hand if needed.
Each property has a bedroom, bathroom, lounge and a kitchen. Some have communal lounges, laundry facilities, lifts, disabled bathing facilities, guest rooms and door entry systems. All properties have smoke detectors, with fire alarm systems in the complexes.
All Independent Living accommodation is supported by an Independent Living Service Advisor and has the option of an Emergency Alarm system which is covered 24 hour a day.
We also offer an ActiveLink service, which provides telecare monitoring equipment and an urgent response alarm for people who are finding it harder to live on their own at home, regardless of tenure. See our ActiveLink Page on the left hand side for further information.
