Disabled adaptations

If you have a disability, we can sometimes carry out adaptation work to help make your home better suited to your needs.

This has to be recommended by an occupational therapist.

If you think that adaptations to your home could help you, your first step is to contact Cornwall Council and ask for a home assessment from an occupational therapist.

If the occupational therapist thinks your home needs to be adapted, they will provide a referral request letter for you to give us, so we can deal with your request.

Our Disabled Adaptations Officer will work closely with qualified occupational therapists, building surveyors and contractors to identify the right adaptations for you.

You can obtain a referral from Cornwall Council's Social Services Department at The White House, 24 Basset Road, Camborne, TR14 8SL or by calling 0300 1234 131.

For further information on our Adaptations Service, please call 08082 027728 and ask for the Disabled Adaptations Officer.
