We own approximately 3,500 properties. These are a mixture of houses, flats and bungalows, some of which are specifically designed for older people or for people with disabilities.
All of our properties are on track to meet the Government's Decent Homes standard by 2010. Since we took over the housing stock from the district council in 1998, we have invested £50million in maintaining and upgrading our properties. This includes carrying out both day-to-day repairs and large planned maintenance programmes which span over a number of years.
Since 1998, we have fitted more than 1,900 kitchens, 1,400 bathrooms and 2,170 central heating systems for our residents. We have also installed PVCu windows in over 1,880 homes and painted and decorated nearly 3,000 properties.
Over the next four years, we will be investing a further £31 million in our properties, to ensure that they are maintained to an extremely high standard in the future.
