Help for customers with disabilities

If works such as access to your home, getting around your home, or alterations to your bathroom or kitchen will make it more suitable for your needs, we can carry out adaptation works.
These have to be recommended by an Occupational Therapist.

If you think that adaptations to your home could help you, your first step is to contact Cornwall County Council and ask for a home assessment from an occupational therapist.  If the occupational therapist thinks that your home needs to be adapted, they will provide a referral request letter for you to give us, so that we can deal with your request.

Our Disabled Adaptations Officer will work closely with qualified occupational therapists, building surveyors and contractors to identify the right adaptations that will help you stay in your home.

You can obtain a referral from Cornwall County Council's Social Services Department at The White House, 24 Basset Road, Camborne, TR14 8SL or by calling 01209 714721.

If you would like further information on our Adaptations Service, please call us on 0808 202 7728 and ask to speak to the Disabled Adaptations Officer.
