
Get on board to get involved!
Coastline Housing is committed to involving all our customers in helping us to improve our services and the way we manage them.
You know your home and community better than anyone else, so you are best placed to tell us where we could be doing things better and give us ideas of how to do this.
There are lots of ways that you can get involved, so it does not mean that you have to come to meetings or give up lots of your time. Reading our CoastLines magazine or returning a satisfaction survey are simple ways to be involved.
But if you want to go a little deeper you could join a local Residents’ Association, or even take a look over all of our services with the Customer Scrutiny Panel. The amount of time you spend with us is your choice.

Support to get involved
Don’t worry if you have not been involved with something like this before. We offer lots of help, including:
- free training and development courses
- support and advice whenever you need it
- expenses to cover travel, childcare and carer costs
- ensuring meetings are in appropriate, accessible venues
- make grant funding available to resident associations, community groups and projects
- use opinions gathered by those groups to help shape the services we deliver
- give information about the outcomes of your involvement

By consulting with our customers in 2010, Coastline developed an Involvement and Empowerment Strategy for 2011-14. It supports the objectives of our Corporate Plan 2010-14 and the Local and Coastline Offers that have been developed in partnership with our customers.
The consultation considered information provided by all customers who returned our STATUS surveys, satisfaction surveys and customer profiling. We also looked at best practice in involvement and empowerment at other housing providers.

Coastline Star Awards
We have been on the look out to find this year's involvement brightest stars - people or projects that you thought should receive recognition for their work or contribution to involvement during 2011.
