Ready, set, go!

The NITs prepare to cook up a fun filled involvement day

Coastline Housing is throwing a free, family-friendly involvement day for its tenants on Tuesday 16th February at Trevithick School in Camborne – which will be topped off with a mad-dash pancake race!

The day will feature fun, games and useful workshops for adults and children alike including things such as face painting, circus skills, mural painting and dance sessions. Tenants will also be able to get advice on their rights from Consumer Direct, learn about budgeting skills, attend a Police information session and find out how to save energy.

Representatives from the national Tenant Services Authority will also be dropping in to hold a workshop for local tenants.

Another highlight will include a pancake race, organised with support from Cornwall Fire Brigade.

Finishing with a flourish, the day will end with a performance and sing-along from Cornish folk band the Cornish Cutlers.

Nicki Highton, from Coastline’s Neighbourhood and Involvement Team, said: “This year’s conference promises to be better than ever and we think it offers something for everyone. It’s been designed by tenants, for tenants, by a special conference steering group so it should be really relevant, interesting and fun!

“Since the event is happening in half-term, we’re hoping that lots of Coastline families will come along to enjoy a free and fun day out. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we’d urge people to get their names down sooner rather than later!”

The day, which runs from 10am to 6pm, will include a free hot lunch buffet, goodie bag and refreshments. Coastline is also putting on a free bus from Redruth and Helston to get tenants without their own transport to the event.

Anyone who would like to attend should contact Coastline on 08082 027728.
