At Coastline Housing we are always looking to improve the services that we provide to our customers. With regards to the company's sewage treatment plants, a number of them have been operating for quite some time, with some dateing back to the 1950's. Therefore we have recently started a capital investment programme to renew a number of the plants over the next 7 years, with our Partnering Contractor Bio Bubble Ltd.
In 2006 a new packaged treatment plant was installed at Pengersick, this was the first of 8 new plants that will replace the existing old and worn out plants.

Coastline's preferred sewage treatment solution is to use the Advanced-Aeration Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) treatment plant designed and installed by Bio-Bubble Ltd.
Bio-Bubble Ltd who are based Emsworth in Hampshire, have a proven track record of providing bespoke solutions for sewage treatment. They have been a preferred contractor to Anglia Water Plc for over 12 years. More local to home Bio-Bubble have provided treatment facilities at Old Town, St Mary's on the Isles of Scilly, Kyanance Cove and Lanhydrock House for the National Trust and Roach Foods in Bodmin. In the southwest Bio-Bubble have teamed up with a Cornish civil engineering contractor based at Mabe-Burnthouse to undertake the construction of the plants.
Bio-Bubble Ltd takes their responsibility for the protection of the environment very seriously. As the Advanced-Aeration SBR plants produce significantly less sludge than other types of treatment plant, this greatly lowers the amount of Carbon that is used during its operation.
During the summer of 2007, the plant at Park Askell Estate and Jubilee Terrace, Gunwalloe completed. In 2008 the plant at Mawgan serving Langweath Estate and Glebe Close will be replaced.
