Neighbourhood Inspections take place across all of our neighbourhoods to bring our housing service closer to you and your community. Our regular inspections will ensure that our staff are working more closely to you to tackle local issues promptly and efficiently.
Improving our neighbourhoods is not a short term target. We realise that in order to be successful we need a long term commitment and this programme gives us that.
You are encouraged to actively engage in the inspection programme along with us, the Police and other statutory and voluntary agencies, such as the Council's Dog Warden, to detect and tackle social and environmental issues in your neighbourhood.
What do we want to achieve at Neighbourhood level? Well, we wish to ensure that the neighbourhoods that you live in are clean, tidy and desirable, which in term will give you a real sense of pride and responsibility in your neighbourhood.
Neighbourhood Inspections will give:
. Better overall satisfaction at neighbourhood level
. Better information in neighbourhoods to help you to get the most from other agencies that operate in your neighbourhood
. Our neighbourhoods the opportunity to remain attractive and sustainable
. Effective liaison with the Police and Social Services and other agencies
. You and your neighbourhood the ability to organise and develop your own representation and to facilitate links made with other agencies
. The ability to spot trends for further future demands on the service
. A quality repair standard at neighbourhood level
