Kary was part of the original team to work with Tim Smit on the development of the Eden Project. She began her career in the textile industry before moving into the education sector and working as Lecturer and Programme Manager at Cornwall College. Following a six year secondment to 'Eden' Kary returned to Cornwall College in 2002 as Corporate Head of Customer Services.
