David lives in Falmouth and has recently retired from the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary as Police Commander for Cornwall & Isles of Scilly after more than 35 years service.
On retirement in 2005 he was appointed to the Board of Falmouth Harbour Commissioners and was appointed as Chairman from April 2008.
David is also Independent Chairman of the local Safeguarding Children's Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. His hobbies include sailing and he is a volunteer for 'Meals on Wheels'.
