Coastline was established in 1998 and is a successful and growing independent housing association based in West Cornwall; one of the most attractive areas of the country with outstanding natural beauty and unique environmental, maritime and industrial heritage. As a not-for-profit ethical business, we have three core objectives:
- building new affordable homes
- offering our customers a first class service
- maintaining the properties we own to high standards
We own over 3,500 homes with a diverse mix of tenures including: affordable rent, shared ownership, key worker housing, supported housing and a variety of properties for sale. We will be adding more than 500 new homes to our portfolio by 2011.
In developing our business we will not compromise our values and ethics nor lose sight of the importance of our core enterprise.
Our commitment to continuous improvement is evidenced in our Performance Improvement Plans. Rated by the Audit Commission as having "excellent prospects" for improvement, we are building on our already strong performance to ensure that we become one of the most dynamic housing associations in the Country.
We also recognise our position as a major employer in West Cornwall. Our team of 130 committed and experienced people is growing and, with a turnover of more than £13M, we make a significant contribution to the local economy.
