Background to your position on the NED Board
John comes from a banking background and was made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1975 after several years of voluntary service for the Institute and acting as Chief Examiner, moderator and lecturer on its educational and examination programmes. After a 30 year career with Midland Bank (now HSBC) John joined the Board of T. Cowie and became Chairman of Scotts of Sloane Square Ltd.

Writing on various aspects of Cornish history; John has recently published a history of Penpoll Methodist Chapel.
