Paradise found at Away Day

Customers with Penguins at the Paradise Park Away Day

Almost 250 Coastline Housing customers attended an annual away day, held at Paradise Park in Hayle, to give their views on various aspects of their landlord’s services.

The away day was extremely popular with old and young alike, with hundreds of residents putting their names into the draw for a ‘golden ticket’ in order to attend the event.

On arrival at the park each customer was given a welcome pack with guides and information about the day. Before spending an afternoon with the birds and animals, guests visited Coastline’s consultation rooms in the Jungle Barn to give their thoughts on topics including welfare reform, repairs and maintenance, social media and Coastline’s service standards.

Claire Reeves, Neighbourhood and Involvement Manager at Coastline, said: “The event was a great success, and we’ve had some really good feedback from those that attended. It was great that our customers were able to interact with us and give us great feedback while enjoying a wonderful day out at Paradise Park too.”

Of the customers that attended, the majority said they would attend another Coastline event in future.

Claire added: “We’re always looking for new ways to get people of all ages involved with shaping our services and improving their neighbourhoods. Events like this give us a chance to talk to people about their ideas, hopes and wishes.”

Anyone interested in becoming involved with Coastline’s work, or joining their local residents’ association, can call the Involvement Team on 08082 027728.
