The winners of the Coastline garden competition 2011 came together to receive their awards at a special ceremony.

Chairman of Coastline Housing, Dr John Lander, welcomed the winners to the Shire and also acknowledged the contribution of customer reps June Mason (new gardening correspondent for Coast Lines magazine) and Alan Moreton who kindly offered to video the event.

Dr Lander also gave a big thank you to Jeannie Bates, who unfortunately couldn't attend, for her continued support and dedication, along with excellent knowledge and expertise.

This will be Dr Lander's last year as a garden competition judge as he will be stepping down in his role as Coastline’s chairman next year after 8 years in the post. He went on to say how much he enjoyed the opportunity every July to visit Coastline’s neighbourhoods across the area,; not only to witness the excellent garden displays but also to chat with Coastline’s customers.
