Coastline customers to get star role

Coastline Housing is giving its customers the chance to have their fifteen minutes of fame as it launches its quest to find the 'Voices of Coastline'.

The Camborne based affordable housing provider will soon be improving its telephone system and wants to involve ‘real’ customers in recording new greeting messages.

Debbie Greenaway, Coastline’s Customer Service Manager and head of the company’s Contact Centre is driving the project. She explains the reasons behind it.

"Because so many of our customers contact Coastline by phone, we want to encourage them to write and record the messages people hear.”

Customers will have the chance to attend Atlantic FM radio station studios at St Agnes, meet the staff and record Coastline greeting messages, menu options and holding messages.

Although it is standard practice for housing providers to use actual customers in their company literature and publicity, it appears that using customer voices for telephone messages is somewhat unique.

“We are always trying to involve our customers in new ways and this is an opportunity to really give them a starring role,” continued Debbie.

Any Coastline customers who are interested in being considered should pick up the phone and speak to a customer service advisor before the closing date of 1 May.
